This sanctuary focuses on a small herd of impala but also houses orphaned Masai lions, African leopards, cheetahs, cape buffalos, olive baboons, hyenas, bushbucks, side-striped jackals, and African grey parrots among others. The site offers important open grazing for hippos, and the swampy area is home to the rare sitatunga antelope. The area features well-maintained 3 km (2 mi) of trails and a selection of scenic picnic spots.
